MAS-I Micro Air Station
Description
V8100/TVOC volatile organic compounds (TVOC) online alarm monitoring system
PID is a photoion detector, mainly used to detect low-concentration volatile organic compounds and other toxic gases in the order of 1ppb-15000ppm. PID is a highly sensitive and widely used detector.
PID detectors use an ultraviolet (UV) light source to ionize organic molecules into positive and negative ions (ionization) that can be detected by the detector. The detector captures the positive and negative charges of the ionized gas and converts them into current signal output to measure the gas concentration. When the gas to be measured absorbs high-energy ultraviolet light, the gas molecules are excited by the ultraviolet light and temporarily lose their electrons and become positively charged ions. After the gas ions are detected on the electrode of the detector, they quickly combine with the electrons to reorganize the original ions. gas molecules. The PID principle is a non-destructive detection principle. It does not require combustion and does not change the gas molecules to be measured. The gas detected by PID can still be collected for further measurement or processing.
In theory, all chemicals can be ionized, but the energy required for their ionization is different. The energy that can transfer an electron and ionize a compound is called ionization energy, and electron volts (eV) are used as the unit of measurement. The energy emitted by a UV lamp can also be measured in electron volts. If the ionization energy of a gas is lower than the energy emitted by the UV lamp, the gas will be ionized. The main gases or volatiles that can be detected by PID are a large number of organic compounds containing carbon atoms (VOC), including
Aromatics: series of compounds containing benzene rings, such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, etc.;
Ketones and aldehydes: compounds containing C=O bonds, such as , butanone, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, etc.;
Amines and amino compounds: hydrocarbons containing N, such as diethylamine, etc.;
Halogenated hydrocarbons: trichlorethylene (TCE), perchlorethylene (PCE), etc.;
Sulfur-containing organic matter: methyl mercaptan, sulfide, etc.;
Unsaturated hydrocarbons: butadiene, isobutylene, etc.;
Saturated hydrocarbons: butane, octane, etc.;
Alcohols: isopropyl alcohol (IPA), ethanol, etc.
In addition to the above-mentioned organic compounds, PID can also measure some carbon-free inorganic compound gases, such as:
Ammonia;
Semiconductor gases: arsine (arsenane), phosphine (phosphine), etc.;
Hydrogen sulfide;
Nitrogen oxides;
Bromine and iodine.

Common faults and solutions
Fault phenomenon cause solution
The system cannot start 1. No power supply
2. The power cord is in poor contact. 1. Confirm that there is a 220VAC power supply.
2. Check whether the power cord is firmly connected
No data can be measured after operation or the data deviation is large. 1. The flue gas does not contain the gas to be measured.
2. The sample gas transmission pipeline is leaking. 1. Confirm the components and content of the flue gas.
2. Check the air tightness of the system and tighten the joints of each device
Poor repeatability 1. Pipeline contamination
2. The sensor life has expired. 1. Clean or replace the pipeline.
2. Replace the sensor.
The meter cannot be calibrated. 1. The calibration gas concentration is incorrect.
2. The circuit board is damaged
3. The sensor is damaged 1. Use the correct concentration calibration gas.
2. Replace the circuit board (recommended to return to the factory for repair)
3. Replace the sensor
Relay has no output 1. Circuit board failure
2. The circuit is faulty or disconnected
3. The power supply voltage is too low or too high 1. Replace the circuit board (it is recommended to return it to the factory for repair)
2. Check whether the line is firmly connected
3. Check the power supply voltage (24VDC is recommended)
Precautions
When opening the cover for calibration or maintenance, make sure to operate in clean air.
The instrument is used to detect the concentration of organic gases in the air. It cannot detect organic gases in water vapor or inert gases or in severely oxygen-deficient environments.
When installing the incoming wire, you must tighten the interface cable seat, press the rubber sealing ring, and hold the cable tightly (explosion-proof requirements).
Take appropriate lightning protection measures. Damage caused by lightning strikes and other irresistible natural disasters will not be covered by the warranty.
Do not make this system frequently come into contact with high-concentration sample gas, otherwise the working life of the sensor will be lost. It is generally recommended to replace the instrument sensor every two years.
